Budget Committee
Hear ye, Hear ye, the Board of Selectmen is looking for a resident who is civic minded to fill a very important position on the Budget Committee.  This position is for a one-year term.  If you are interested in filling this very important position, please call the Selectmen’s Assistant at 929-5191 and let her know of your desire to fill this vacancy.  If you are new in Town and would like to meet more of your friends and neighbors and serve your Town, this is an excellent opportunity for you.  The Budget Committee starts meeting in January and ends in April 2012.

The Town of Buxton also has an opening for a Town Treasurer.~~The position has been posted on line at~www.JobsInME.com, and on the Town web page.~ Call the Selectmen's Office at 929-5191 for more information.

Board of Selectmen meets every Wednesday night, 5 to 8 p.m. FMI, call 929-5191.
Buxton Little League meets the first Thursday of the month, 6 p.m., at the Municipal Building. FMI, e-mail buxtonlittleleague.org.
Community Cupboard is open Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and Friday 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Plummer's Shopping Center at the corner of Routes 112 and 22. Nonperishable food can be dropped off during open hours or by calling Gwen Hatch 642-2396.

Sokokis Riders of Buxton Snowmobile Club meets the 1st Thursday of the month at 7 pm from October to May at the Groveville fire station. Please come and join us and support the clubs in Maine. Leavitt’s Mill Health Center Office staff is generally available Tuesdays 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Wednesdays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. ~Patients are seen during clinical hours by appointment only. ~Clinics are held every Thursday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., 2nd and 4th Saturdays 9 a.m.-Noon and 1st and 3rd Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
