ATVS, BOATS AND SNOWMOBILES
New Registrations
If purchased from a Maine dealer, the green sales tax form is required.
If purchased through a private sale, a bill of sale is required. Sales tax will be collected at the time of registration.
ATVS
Registration period is July 1 – June 30
Registration fee is $33.00
Agent fee is $2 for new registrations, $1 for renewals
ATVs are not charged an excise tax
BOATS
Registration period is January 1 – December 31
Registration and excise fees vary; depending on year, length & horsepower.
Agent fee is $2 for new registrations, $1 for renewals
Milfoil stickers
All boats launched in fresh water require a Maine Lake & River Protection sticker. Resident sticker is $10, non-resident is $20
SNOWMOBILES
Registration period is July 1 – June 30.
Registration fee is $33.00
Agent fee is $2 for new registrations, $1 for renewals
Snowmobiles are not charged an excise tax
