The Keep The Heat On Program was founded by Ed Newell, a local Buxton resident with a concern for our elderly residents.  The program provides heating assistance primarily for Buxton's elderly residents on fixed incomes who are unable to meet the rising cost of heating fuel.  The Program is overseen by a Committee of three appointed by the Board of Selectmen.  Donations to the program are made with returnable bottles and cans which can be dropped off at the Buxton Transfer Station (next to the Town Office).  The returnable bottles and cans are deposited and all money earned goes directly into the “Keep The Heat On” program fund.  The program also accepts cash donations and has fund raisers throughout the year.  The Committee thanks the many people who have donated to this worthy program.
