Buxton Wood Bank - Looking for Volunteers!

The Buxton Wood Bank has been established in our community with help from the Maine Wood Bank Network. 50% of Maine households use firewood for some or all of their heat.
Firewood banks are community-based organizations which provide free emergency and seasonal wood for home heating assistance. They are run entirely by volunteers who help split, stack and store wood for pick-up or delivery.
The Maine Wood Bank Network has a Safety Coordinator who will train Volunteers to safely utilize equipment such as chainsaws, log splitters etc.
