Salmon Falls Bridge Replacement

The Salmon Falls Bridge on Rt. 202 between the towns of Hollis and Buxton will be currently under construction starting this summer. To accommodate construction of the new bridge and prepare for the closure of the Salmon Falls Bridge in the Spring of 2027, there are roadway improvements that need to be completed at the intersection the Bar Mills Road (Route 4 A), Country Club Road, and Usher Road. To perform this work, there will be alternating two-way traffic with a minimum 11’ lane maintained. Similar lane closures and width restrictions will be utilized on Rt. 202 as well. The work is tentatively scheduled to begin on the morning of Monday July 27th, at 7 AM. Additional temporary intersection work to install temporary traffic signals at Route 4A and Route 117, and Route 4A and Route 112, will be occurring also in the upcoming months. Notification of the road construction work will be provided via message boards on approaches to the work zones. An additional notice will be sent out prior to closure of the bridge.
