Vital Records

Vital records consist of birth, death and marriage records.  Copies of records filed with the Buxton Town Clerk can be obtained in person or by mail.  In order for the Town of Buxton to have a copy of a vital record the event had to occur in Buxton or the person(s) named on the record must have been residents of Buxton at the time of the event.  The fee to purchase a certified copy of a Birth, Death or Marriage Certificate is $15.00 for the first copy and $6.00 for each additional copy purchased at the same time, of the same record.  You must show proof of identity, which links you to the certificate requested.  To receive copies by mail, please send a written request, which includes the name(s) on the certificate, the date of the event and the required fee.
